To help with your student finance application, the Telegraph are holding a webchat here on Wednesday 27 May from 2pm to 4pm with Mark Lee Kelly from the Student Loans Company and Josie Gurney-Read, Online Education Editor. Email your questions in advance to josie.gurney-read@telegraph.co.uk or tweet @JosieGurneyRead.

Submitted your university application to Ucas? Replied to your offers? Sent off an application for accommodation? If you've completed these three steps, you're well on your way to completing the pre-university admin. Which is all very well; now comes the hard part of actually passing your exams to get into your first choice.

Student finance: loans, schemes and bursaries

Applying for student finance is probably the last thing on your mind right now. But, with deadlines fast approaching, it's important that you get your application in on time in order to make sure you have the money in place when you start your course in the Autumn.

• New students in England should apply by 31 May
• Continuing students should submit their applications by 30 June

To get started with your application, visit gov.uk/student-finance.

If you have any questions regarding the application process, then be sure to check back here on 27 May to put your questions to the Student Loans Company. If you can't make it on the day, be sure to get in touch in advance by emailing josie.gurney-read@telegraph.co.uk; you'll be able to watch the webchat back following the event to find the answer to your question.
