The following appeared in a letter from a homeowner to a friend.

"Of the two leading real estate firms in our town—Adams Realty and Fitch Realty—Adams Realty is clearly superior. Adams has 40 real estate agents; in contrast, Fitch has 25, many of whom work only part-time. Moreover, Adams' revenue last year was twice as high as that of Fitch and included home sales that averaged $168,000, compared to Fitch's $144,000. Homes listed with Adams sell faster as well: ten years ago I listed my home with Fitch, and it took more than four months to sell; last year, when I sold another home, I listed it with Adams, and it took only one month. Thus, if you want to sell your home quickly and at a good price, you should use Adams Realty."

Write a response in which you examine the stated and/or unstated assumptions of the argument. Be sure to explain how the argument depends on these assumptions and what the implications are for the argument if the assumptions prove unwarranted.

Argument states that if you want to sell your home quickly and at a good price, you should use Adams Realty is not logically convincing.Premise author gave for argument is that last year, when he sold another home, he listed it with Adams, and it took only one month.Since author did not consider crucial assumptions, which leads to make argument very ineffective as well as unsound.

First assumption argument assumes that ten years ago he listed his home with Fitch, and it took more than four months to sell.Author did not give exegesis for this assumption. Author made a deal with Fitch group ten years ago, that may be recession time due to which unemployment was expeditious. In that circumstances there is even hard to survive, people can not think about buying a house. But author is assuming time that was ten years ago as well as one year ago same which never happens. Prices of commodities ten years before and one year before can never be same. for instance, gold prices during 1990 was near around 120$ but its price after ten year was around 400$ so there is huge gap between these two prices only because of economy change but author is treating same economy during both times which is flaw and makes argument unsound.

Second assumption argument consider that when he sold another home, he listed it with Adams, and it took only one month for selling. Some information is missing which is very imperative for explanation. For instance may be this time he sold a home which was in proximity of markets and everything like commodities that human being wants was available in short radius and it was in sophisticated area then why not anyone buy that house. Give this house to any real estate agency they can sell it in short time. Ten years ago author listed his home with Fitch, and it took more than four months to sell. In this case may be author home was in rural area as well as commodities that human being wants was not present in short radius instead they were available in long radius that explains why it took so much time for Fitch to sell. But author assumes that both homes were having same background.

Third assumption argument omits conditions of both homes. Author did not take it in consideration. One question is it easier to sell a home which is in good condition or bad condition. Answer obviously is good condition, house which will be resplendent to eyes will be sold in less time duration that is what happened here . Author gave home which was in good condition for selling contract to Adams and they sold it in less time but Author gave home which was in bad condition for selling contract to Fitch which took long time.

Ultimately argument is totally unsound. Evidence give for if you want to sell your home quickly and at a good price, you should use Adams Realty does little support. Finally argument can be strengthened by claiming that conditions of both homes were same, society and background for both homes were same, as well as economy was same or comparable during both time.
