The surest indicator of a great nation is represented not by the achievements of its rulers, artists, or scientists, but by the general welfare of its people.

One of the most important dreams of every society is the general welfare of its people which is presented by certain factors. Great nation has subjective definition for different kinds of society so they use different measurements to consider their nations as a great one.

In some cases, there is a close relationship among society’s achievements and the level of general welfare that cannot be overlooked easily. On the other hand, at developing countries some scholars abuse from their positions and try to make profits for a small group of people. At these kinds of nations should be taken certain key factors into account in order to represent a great nation. For example, a small group of artists and scientists at developing countries like Iran have high salaries and bring important achievements for their countries while the most percentage of people do not meet their basic needs. Many people have to work from early in the morning to late at night with lowest salary to make profits for a small group of tyranny.

There are wide variety of strong evidence at any society’s history to prove that specific nations that tried to provide their people with the golden opportunity to have general welfare had known as a great nation. Although providing the general welfare is very unrealistic, some nations make an effort to set this mission in their long-term plan in order to be eminent as a great society. For instance, Denmark is one of well-known countries that pays utmost attention to its people’s demands and investigates key factors to satisfy its citizen. While Denmark’s past history show that kings and queens prevailed people from having general welfare and enforced them to obey nation’s rules.

In conclusion, a great nation is nation that clarifies its goals and makes balance between achievements and public demands. Great nations will not abuse from people for following their own sake, they make an effort to use their strength points in order to increase public welfare instead of against them.
