With growing development all over the world, traffic and pollution have become two of the major problems of urban cities. One strategy suggested to solve these problems is a hike in petrol prices.

However, in my opinion, simply increasing prices of petrol can only help the problem in short term and we need other alternatives to ease up traffic and reduce pollution to safe levels.
