Machine translator (MT) is slower and less accurate than human translation and there is no immediate or predictable likelihood of machines taking over this role from humans.

In recent years technology development has been such massive that nowadays we have almost one machine able to replace humans at almost every job. Although, as for the most pieces of technology, they have been tested, improved and in some case replaced in the market, it is true that most of them have simplified everyone's lives and in most cases, brought improvements. However, in same case as for the machine translators, I definitively doubt that this change will happen, it is unlikely that such machines overtake the human role in translations.
