Many people are afraid to leave their home because of crime. Some believe that more action should be taken to prevent crime. While others feel that little action can be done to stop crime. What is your view?

There is no doubt that punishment has a crucial role to play in shaking off the crime rates. Nowadays, there has been a growing trend of upsurge of criminal activities. To reduce such activities strict actions are taken in form of punishments. Whether such actions offer upsides or not is a debatable issue. In order to see how valid the practice of law and justice is, we need to see at both the sides of the debate.

One of the conspicuous aspects of the legal punishment is that it definitely helps to reduce the crime rate. For instance, if a person commits robbery then he should be given punishment according to the severity of the crime. I firmly believe that if a criminal is punished this will definitely help to address this soaring concern.

In addition to this there are few steps which can help in reducing the crime. Unemployment has an astronomical impact on increase of the crime rates. Government should encourage entrepreneurs’ to promote projects and organization which can help in reducing the problems with unemployment. Advocating such concrete steps is a pivotal facet to reduce the criminal activities.

However, a convincing argument can be made that even though there are legal punishments and law to address the crime rates there are few lawyers which help the criminals. Such practice causes augmentation of criminal activities. Such lawyers should be honest with their work. Hence such problem can be solved by cooperative work of government and the honest people and lead to a safe environment.

To conclude, as it is evident from the above discussion that there are a few loop holes through which every criminal escapes from the punishment. Nevertheless, I firmly believe that if proper steps taken such criminal activities can be eliminated; role of legal law and justice in reducing the crime is immense, indeed.
