In recent years, education has become increasingly important in social development. As a result, the problem whether subjects should be decided by the government or students themselves has been argued by a numerous of people.

It is believed that there would be great benefits if the curriculum can be arranged by the government. The reason is that it’s quit necessary to ensure the basic knowledge, which everybody needs to learn. Only after consolidating can students improve their ability. Therefore, it is the government that is able to provide the opportunities for the learners.

Furthermore, in order to meet the demand on the job market, the government would give the students the best options on which to learn, for most students are lack of notions on the variety of jobs nowadays. Specifically, it seems that most students intend to select the subjects which they are most interested in, which in fact, may not be expection from the job market. Thus, some guidance from the government is a necessity.

However, it is clear that there would be different characters and abilities between individuals. Educators should allow students to choose their subjects according to their strengths and weakness. Besides, their protential would be limited if the curriculum is the same. An innovation is essential for the country to develop.

In sum, students should combine the two and gain the most efficient way to learn. Although innovating is crucial, the foundations cannot be ignored. The guidance of the government can be taken in account and students should make decisions by themselves.
