Japanese are found to be very fond of tourism and the first chart shows a continuous increase in the number of Japanese tourists travelling abroad between 1985 and 1995. At the same time, second chart shows the percentage of Japanese tourist visiting Australia each year.

The chart shows a considerably linear increase in the number of Japanese tourists in ten years. From 1985 to 1995 the increase is about 10 million. In 1985 only 4.5 million Japanese were used to travel abroad and this number kept on increasing in coming years. Only in year 1991 the tourist’s number decreases to 10.3 million from 10.5 million in 1990.

Australia’s share of Japan’s tourist market increases from 2% to about 4.8% till 1988 and then decreases by 0.6% in next year. After that percentage goes on increasing with highest percentage of Japanese tourist of 6.2% in 1993. This further reduced to 6% in next year.
