In addition, albeit there were significant changes were noticed in distance traveled through every mode, people in England preferred commuting through car enormously than that of other modes, in both given period.
In terms of car where the most eye-catching numbers were noticed. In 1985, people travelled 3,099 miles of distance which had increased dramatically to 4,806 miles in 2000. Similarly, at the same period of time, the utilization of long distance bus, train, taxi and other transportation techniques were also showed substantial increase in number of miles travelled by Britains.
On the other hand, unlikely, the scenario changed completely the opposite in modes like Bicycle, walking, and Local bus. As per the provided data, all three ways of travelled distance were decreased from 1985 to 2000. However, the local bus usage showed a considerable decline that is 429 and 274 miles per person in 1985 and 2000, respectively, when compared with other two mode's travel distance.
