Writing Task 1

The pie chart compares and contrasts data on the change in the amount of money spent by certain schools in the United Kingdom over a three periods of time in 1981, 1991, and 2001

A closer look at the chart highlights that teacher's saleries spent almost 50 pecents of the total cost during the periods compare to other aspects namely insurances, resources, furnitures and equipments and other workers' saleries.

More specifically, the cost spent for insurance gradually increased each year from 2% in 1981, to 3% in 1991, and 8% in 2001. On the other hand, the other workers' saleries slightly fell from 28% in 1981 to 22% in 1991, and finally reached 15% in 2001.

Another fact worth noticing is that the use of resources dramatically declined from 20% in 1991 to only 9% in 2001. In contrast, the furniture and equipment rapidly increased from 5% to 23% at the same time.
