The chart below shows the total number of minutes (in billions) of telephone call in the UK, divided into three categories, from 1995-2002.

The table chart compares data about three different categories of calls that were made in UK between the years 1995 and 2002.

In general, it can be seen that local calls were the most popular over the whole period, with national and international and mobiles phone calls second and third respectively.

According to the graph, the numbers of local calls fluctuated during this period, starting at about 70 billion minutes in 1995, reaching the high level at around 90 billion minutes in 1999 and then gradually decreasing to approximately 70 billions minutes in 2002.
National and international calls increased steadily during the given period, from just under 40 billions minutes in 1995 to about 60 billions minutes in 2002. A similar pattern was seen in the number of minutes made through mobile phone, although there was a rapid rose in the proportion of mobile minutes. In fact, for this figure the number of minutes stood at nearly 5 billions in 1995. That number soared gradually to just over 20 billions in 2000 and then doubled peaking at about 45 billions minutes in 2002.
