The charts show how tourism to two countries changed over a 50-year period.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The four pie charts given detail the alteration in tourism in Australia and Germany between 1960 and 2010.
At first glance, it can be immediately seen that over this time period the Asian tourism boomed. In fact, what strikes the most is the drastic redistribution of percentages in Australia: European tourists significantly dropped and were replaced by Asians. In Germany the situation remained about the same, although the Asian slice incremented.

More in detail, in 1960 the two countries had similar tourist affluence. In Australia more than half were Europeans, a quarter British, 12 per cent from the USA and a tenth Asians. Meanwhile, in Germany, the only big difference was that a quarter of travelers came from the USA and British were just one fifth.

In 2010 instead, the tourist configuration changed completely between the two. Australia is dominated by Asian tourism, with 63 per cent, whereas in Germany it is only one fourth. Both British traveling to Australia and Germany decreased, by 5 per cent and 14 per cent respectively.
