The diagram below shows how ethanol fuel is produced from corn.
The picture above illustrates the utilization of corn to manufacture ethanol fuel. A various number of different stages such as, storing, milling, cooking, fermenting, seperating, purifying which is again followed by storing, are involved in order to produce the fuel from corn. The whole process is time consuming.
The first step is to store the corn. This is then transfered for milling. Further, this step is proceeded by cooking. It should be cooked for four hours and in due process, an adequate amount of water is added. After which, it is moved to the fermenting stage, where the corn is fermented for forty eight hours. The next step is separating the fermented corn in two forms, one is in the liquid state and the other is in the solid by-product state.
These two states are then brought together in a container for five hours, thus purifying ethanol. Later, they are then stored, after which ethanol fuel is ready for transport.
