the given line graph illustrates data about the numbers of first marriages, remarriages and the total number of marriages from 1951 to 2001. It is manifest from the graph that, a gradual change was observed in the figure of bells, it accounted for 5 decades.

To start with, in 1951, the proportion of all marriages in the UK was 450,000 and it was followed by first marriages at 350,000. By contrast, the number of remarriages in the United Kingdom was only 90,000 at the same time. From 1951 to 1981, there was a considerable increase in the proportion of first bells and all bells in America, while the number of rebels increased slightly with few fluctuations to around 120,000 in the UK.

Secondly, in the last two decades from 1981 to 2001, the figure for first and total marriages was significantly decreased. Similarly, the remarriages decrease slightly and are constant for the last two years. In 2001, the new and total weddings are remained stable, when they were in 1951 that is 350,000 and 450,000 respectively. While the figure for remarriages was 110,000 in 1991, but after that, it is constant for last two years that is about to 100,000.

Overall, it can be seen that the total weddings had the highest proportion in the UK for a majority of the given time period. Also, there was a little increase in the remarriages and the other two kinds of bells were leveled out in the given time in America.
