Looking at the chart in more detail, it is evident that the amount of chicken which was consumed increased from 140 grams/person/week (g/p/w) in 1979 to 250 g/p/w in 2004, which was the highest point on the chart. In contrast, consumption of beef decreased from 220 g/p/w in 1979 to 100 g/p/w in 2004.

Turning to the remaining two data sets, it can be seen that the amount of lamb which was eaten started at 150 g /p/w in 1979, and shrank to approximately 60 g/p/w in 2004. Consumption of fish showed the smallest change.
