The given line graph reveals the comparison of two genders in reading books in Burnaby Public Library between 2011 and 2014. Units are measured in numbers. Overall, the male readers showed a steady rise initially, but there was a slight decrease at the end, while the number of females’ experienced a upward trend over the given period.

In 2005 the number of books read by men was the lowest with 3.000, meantime, women accounted for 2.000 more than men did (5.000). Following that, male readers’ share minimally expanded from 2011 to 2012 and also female substituted the similar trend in the same year (from 3.000 to 4.000 and from 5.000 to 8.000 respectively).

There was a considerable escalate on men’s data in 2013 which was higher than previous year with 7.000 of gap (3.000 and 10.000 accordingly). In 2014 this figure notably increased accounting for almost 15.000 with the highest quantity in compare to women over the whole period. Inspite of the moderate grew up to 2013 year in female data, this trend dramatically plunged in 2014(10.000 and 8.000 relatively).
