The graph below shows the proportion of the population aged 65 and over between 1940 and 2040 in three different countries.Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The linear graph illustrate the percentage of senior citizens, those are older than 65 years. Over a century in three different countries manly as Japan, Sweden and USA and also give projection till 2040.

Overall, it predicted that the maximum proportion of population 65 and above will be Japan in 2040 and minimum will be in USA in the same time period.

After carefull analysis, it is lucid that the population of grey people in USA those are older than 65 years was nearly 10 percent in 1940 and this percentage increased slightly to 15 percentage in 1980 and it remained constant till 2017. After that it is produced that population will be increased sharply to more then 20 percent in 2040. In case of Sweden, the population was more then 5 percent in 1940 and it boosted up in 2 decades near about the 15 percent. After that, fluctuations were noticed from 1980 to 2018 and it is projected that it will be reached 25 percent in 2040.

Probing ahead, the population of Japan was 5 percent in 1940, then it declined slightly from 1960 to 2000 the percentage was stable and it inclined slightly till 2017. It is estimated that population will be increased rapidly tk more over the 25 percent in 2040.
