The line graph compares the rate of people who entered into the workforce by sectors in the UK economy in a ten-year period from 2000 to 2010.
It is clear that the number of people worked in the private sector decreased in comparison with public sector experienced the fastest growth in the employment rate.
In 2000, the rate of people who worked at private sector started at 50. And then, there was a slight drop over the next two years, with 40 before experiencing remain stable until 2003. From that time, the figure went down significantly, finishing at 20 in 2010. In contract, the rate of workforce in public sector went in the opposite direction. Starting at under 40 in 2000, the rate rose minimally by around 2 in 2002. After that, it increased dramatically in the next two years, at under 50. At this point, the number continue to went up considerably until 2010, after having a slight decrease in 2006
Regarding self-employed sector, it rose modestly in the two following years with 20 before decreasing gradually and recover again until 2005, at 20. After that, the figure increased remarkably in the last five years, with 30.
