The comparison in the percentage estimation of literacy in several regions and gender throughout 4 years since 2000 is displayed by the table.
Overall, the figure for men was estimated the highest. However, the lowest literacy rate was located in Africa.
As per data, there was very large majority population loving reading, with both males at more than four-fifths and females just over three-fourths. Furthermore, four continents having the biggest proportion were America, Asia, Europe, and Oceania, with most of literate both sexes reaching a hundred percent.
Meanwhile, this contrasted to the aforementioned regions, the literacy level of Asian and African was by far lower, although it still estimated about more than a half. However, the proportion of men in the former area stood at higher, accounting for closely four-fifths, than that of the latter one at approximately three-fourths. For females, Africa witnessed the lowest rate at around a half, in comparison with Asia at virtually seventy percent.
