The three pie charts below show the changes in annual spending by a particular UK school in 1981,1991 and 2001.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.

The given three pie charts depit the amount of money which a school in the UK spent annually for the years 1981, 1991 and 2001.
Overall, the majority of the expense was spent on teachers’ salaries, contrasted to the minimum of insurance.
It is apparent from the data that by far the greatest amount was used for teachers’ salaries, accounted 40% of the total spending in 1981, and this figure rose to precisely a half in 1991, followed by a slight fall of 5% in 2001. Other workers’ salaries saw a gradually decline from 1981 to 2001. It was initially 28% in 1981, then decreased to 22% in 1991 and eventually dropped to 15% in 2001.
It is interesting to note that in 1981, the amount spent on furniture and equipment and resources such as books were exactly the same, being 15% of the total amount. Whereas in 1991, there was more money spent on resources than furniture and equipment, namely 20% and 5% respectively, the reverse took place in 2001, with 23% of the spending was used for buying furniture and equipment and only 9% of the amount was spent on resources like books. Starting from 1981 to 2001, the amount of money used for insurance rose steadily from a mere 2% in 1981, after that increased to 3% in 1991 and 8% in 2001.
