Essay topics:

To understand the most important characteristics of a society, one must study its major cities

As the statement is presented the most important characteristics of the society can be known by studying its major cities but that is not the correct assumption because in india there are 70 percent of rural areas and 20 percent of urban areas so we cannot directly deduce that the most important characteristics of the society can be decided by its major cities.

firstly to understand the most important characteristics of our society it is requisite to know about the rural areas and our traditions and our cultures because India is a country where we have all types of religions and their traditions. each religion have disparate traditions,India is a mixture of different traditions and languages, eventhough there are many religions in our country we stay united.

secondly we should know about different traditions of each village some villages has a unique traditions.as we are seeing now a days some villages pray to their village god so they hope that their god will do good for them.but in other countries it's not like that for illustration take arab countries they only pray alla and in british countries they pray to jesus.so in major cities we can find only some traditions and languages but in villages we can know every thing about the society.

thirdly major cities are cosmopolitan cities in which different tradition people live together so traditions get diluted but in the villages globalization is there so the traditions remain preserved.to understand about our society first we should know about the village traditions and history.

finally study of only major cities are not at all enough to understand most important characteristics of the society we should also know about villages traditions and cultures and history of society and financial status is also important to understand about the society.
