The chart below shows the percentage of male and female teachers in six different types of educational setting in the UK in 2010.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The graph above gives information about how much men and women teachers chose to work in different educational environment in UK in 2010 in term of percentage.
Overall, the shares between male and female were distributed unevenly in 6 considered sectors as women in nursery/ pre- school accounted for almost 100% whereas there was approximately 5% men taught in this kind of schools.
A closer look at the data reveals that in university, primary school and nursery school there was a huge gap between the number of male and female teachers. Like pre schools, primary school’s female teacher reached the rate of 90% while 10% left was the share for men. In the contrary, it can be seen from the university sector that the proportion of men working in here was two times bigger than that of women.
In the three educational settings left, there was just a slight difference between the rate as in secondary schools men accounted for 45% and women got 55% or in private training institute the share of woman was 5% more than that of men. In addition, college was the neutral environment that the number of female and male teachers was equal.
