You play a team sport with some friends. Last week a member of the team had an accident and wasn't able to play with you at the weekend. You decide to write to him in hospital, telling him about the match.

Write a letter to your friend. In your letter,

-tell him which team won
-describe the conditions on the day
-say how you felt about the match

Dear Jenna,

I hope you are doing better now. I am writing this letter to share the details of the cricket match that we had last weekend. I am really excited to tell you about the great news that our girls team won the match against the boys team.

Although we did faced some problems with the weather as it was raining that morning. But later, the sky got cleared and we were able to start the match in the afternoon. As the weather was pleasant, we were able to grab a large number of audience, who, to my surprise, was cheering mostly for our team. With the motivation and encouragement from them, we were able to win the match somehow.

I personally feel that we could have played a lot better if you would have been there with us. Especially for me, as we have a good partnership on the field.

Hope to see you soon back on the ground with full enthusiasm.

Yours friend,
Manmeet
