Ethanol fuel VS Gasoline fuel

Essay topics:

Ethanol fuel VS Gasoline fuel

The article states that ethanol fuel made from some plants to be alternative to gasoline in the United States and provides three resaons of support. However, the professor explains that actually ethanol is good alternative to gasoline and three reason is not convincing and refutes each of the author’s reasons.

First, the reading claims that ethanol cause global warming for giving carbon dioxide into athmosphere. The professor refutes this point by saying that it is true the ethanol release carbon dioxide into athmosphere but the plants which use to make ethanol remove carbon dioxide from athmosphere and so That does not directly release into athmosphere.

Second the article posits that amount of the corn which is use of animal feeding is reduced for making ethanol. The professor says that during making of ethanol only one part of whole corn is used. According to the professor this part whose name is selulose is not eaten by animals and so this case do not affect the corn amount which is used for feeding animal.

Third, the reading says that the ethanol price is not comparable with gasoline and both of them look like equal but this case is possible with government subsidies. The professor opposes this point by explaning that supporting by government to the ethanol producers is true but this situation is not restrict with it. He also states that increasingly producing do not allow the increase of price of ethanol. With this increase of producing the price of ethanol reduce one of three.
