The reading and the lecture are about famous novelist portray, Jane Austen who do not have many records of her look. The reading mentioned that the painting was belonged to her by her families. However, the lecturer refutes the statement in the reading. He thinks it would be her extended family portrait.

Firstly, the reading states that her family confirmed the depict. In the contrary, the speaker refuses the reading passage and he thinks her families had not seen her because she had died seventy years before the endorsement from her family.

Second, the reading claims that her face was similar to Jane Austen but the lecturer disagrees with the passage due to the fact that she had died earlier than the time was portrayed and he suggests that it resembles her teenage niece.

Third, The article mentions that the painter who draws her picture was Azias Humphrey. When she was a teenage girl, he painted her picture.
