TPO-24 - Integrated Writing Task Animal fossils usually provide very little opportunity to study the actual animal tissues, because in fossils the animals' living tissues have been largely replaced by minerals. Thus, scientists were very excited recently

The lecturer and the reading passage discussing about seventy million year old fossil of Tyrannosaurus rex. According to the article, log bone of the T. rex fossil materials reveal like blood vessels, red blood cells and collagen matrix. However, the lecturer refutes each research presents in reading passage and he doubt about the identification of material by researcher.
Firstly, the article emphasizes that fossil of the leg bone contains channel structure and soft flexible substance represents that its blood vessel of T. rex. The lecturer, in contrast, mentions that soft substances are not blood vessels but something else. When organism died then, bacteria formed colony. Moist residue and soft substances are trace of bacteria colony. Therefore, article claims were not true.
Secondly, the reading passage implies that inner bone fossil presents sphere which size and red color shown that its blood vessel of T. rex dinosaur. The lecturer, on contrary, explains that iron like structure was also found in the prime fossil. This iron like material not irons but it was reddish mineral material.
Lastly, the article claims that collagen found by testing of leg bone. The lecturer argues to this point and states that collagen was not found even 1000 years old fossil, so it is improbable idea that collagen found in 70 million old fossil because collage not long last living tissue. The resources might come from the human skin, the researcher who handles the fossil bone.
