In this set of material, the article and the lecture disagree on the merit of the negative impact of Zebra mussel shellfish on the North American coastal water. The reading passage states that the invasion of those Zebra Mussel fish is uncontrollable and causes dramatic danger to the native fish population in North America. The writer in reading passage postulates three consequences from those new threaten fish there. He thinks that the humans' vessels helped those species to spread from European coast to American coast. Also, the real domination without any predators enhances the proliferation of the Zebra mussel fish. And, the invasion of those fish competes with the native fish on the food resources putting them in great danger. In contrary, the professor in the lecture challenges the reading passage and presents three counterclaims proving that all the consequences of the passage are controllable and the threat of the zebrafish is skeptical. Following are brief interpretation to this perspective.

First of all, the author asserts that the ability of those zebrafish to attach themselves to the ships and vessels which carry some of the European coastal water causes the spread of those species since the eighteenth century. However, the professor refutes this idea. He believes that it is true the reansportation was uncontrolled in the past. But, people nowadays have satisfactory progress in their knowledge. They develop a way that helped that cargo in emptying their water at the ocean before reaching the American cost which in turn the salty water of the sea kills most of the zebra fish before reaching American water.

Second, the reading passage claims that those fish once reach the coastal water of American dominate their new habitatite because of no predators which causes high and danger level of population growth in the area. Nevertheless, the lecturer rebuffs this point, too. He says that it is odd to think those zebra fish enjoy their new habitate without any predators. In fact, as they moved and florurnish, the sea brids change their food and test the new preys. As a result, the level of those zebra mussels undercontrol.

Last but not the least, the reading passage argues that those fish feed on plankoten and compete with native fish on the food resources putting the native creatures endanger. Antithesis to this theory, the professor opposes this urguments. He believes that even though they compete with other plankoten eater marrin animals, they help other generation of non plankoten feeders from the bottom of the sea and cause helpful progress in their population.
