In the reading passage, the author claims that there are three viable solutions in order hinder the birds to hurt due to the glasses, which are unspecified for the bird as a barrier. However, finding all the ideas implausible and questionable, the professor casts doubt on what is presented in the text and states some evidence to the contrary.
At first, the author argues that substituting the regular glasses with the transparent ones will sole the problem. Conversely, the lecturer contend this idea the surface of one-way glasses acts as a mirror; hence, it reflects the image of tree or sky. In fact, the birds are not capable to percieve the mirror, having seen it as a tree or sky, the bird directly fly into the glass. So, applying the transparent windows will be as bas as the regular ones.
In addition, the reading passage holds the view that painting the regular windows would be a doable option to elliminate this problem. On the other hand, the professor dismisses this idea by clarifying the fact that as it was mentioned in the text, there are some open spaces in the painted glasses. Indeed, birds percieve them as a open hole which they can fly through them. Moreover, if we fill all the spaces in a way that no unpainted area remains, so dark become the interrior of the room that people inside it cannot see anything. Subsequently, this solution will not make any difference in a situation.
Finally, the author asserts that creating the artificial magnetic will deviate the path of the birds and impede carshing the windows. The lecturer, though, disputes this point by subscribing the fact that it is true that birds are equiped with such navigation ability, but they do not utilize it all the time nonetheless. Indeed, having used them in long distances, for instance imigrating to the warm region from the cold locations, birds do not have it in short trips. Consequntly, they use their eyes and bright to determine their ways in these short distances.
