International work day.
Summarize the passage and explain how the lecture contrast from the passage.

The passage and the lecture are about the advantages and disadvantages of the advances in global communication by internet respectively. The passage states that the methods of global communication are inexpensive and efficient, which helps the contemporary companies to work 24/7 that gives the opportunity for potential reduction of time frame and even the 12 hours can be reduced to 8 hours if 3 companies are included for the employees of each company.

However, the professor refutes the advantages citing an example from his experience. First of all , he says that it is really a complicated situation while working and not able to get the required answers from the another company that makes it tedious because at that time employees will be sleeping. Hence it results in wastage of time, efforts and more expensive for the compensation of the work.

Secondly, the lecture casts doubt about reducing time frame because the procrastination due to lack of information requires further meetings outside the office hour to collaborate all the companies in another place makes it even difficult.

Finally, the telecononferencing may reduce the 12 hours to 8 hours, but it has many other disadvantages like staying awaken at late night to match the time is not easy to work efficiently . Hence the effectiveness is not much beneficial as it is stated in the passage.
