TPO 01 - Question 3

Letter in the Centerville College News

The administration has plans to acquire a new sculpture for campus. We should all oppose this plan. The university’s poor financial condition led it to increase the price for campus housing and tuition by 15% this past year. Surely then it is no financial position to purchase such an expensive sculpture. Moreover, just look at the sculpture: several 60-foot ling steel plates, jutting out of the earth at odd angles! It’s so large, it’ll take up all the green space in front of the campus center! This is public space that should be reserved for students to use.

Hello.
Thank you for your recommendation. I am working to remove my ehm but it seems to invinsible( Can you give any hints how to overcome my trouble? I ask you because you have been working with a vast number of students and thus have a lot of expertise.
Thank you. Eugene.

You have 'ehn' because you are used to it. It is like a habit. There are some suggestions to remove it, but may take time:

1. talk English more. Why you don't have this issue in your own language, because you talk it always. Try to talk to family members, friends, neighbors in English those days.

2. Watch CNN and follow those hosts, they can talk very fluently and smoothly.

3. Read an article, and read it loudly. It is important to read it loudly to make you confident during speaking.

There are more approaches to get rid of this issue. Always analyze and summarize more:which way is better. This is not only for an exam, it is good for future careers as well.
