This line graph demonstrates how much fat each person used in grams between 1971 and 1997. As we can vividly realize, usage of low and reduced fat spreads follows a rising trend, butter a falling trend and finally margarine experiences a fluctuating trend.

With a cursory glance of the graph we can state that the butter usage from 1971 to 1997, starts from nearly 150 grams per person and then declines gradually to 60 grams per person in 1997. The rate at witch butter usage decreases slows over the period in question. we observe a nearly stable trend in the last five years of period.

at 100 grams per person in 1971, margarine is less used than butter. The usage of margarine then grows in the next thirteen years, passing butter in 1981 and peaking at nearly 120 grams in 1984. Then it begins to fall to almost 20 grams in 1997 witch makes it the least used fat source.

low and reduced fat spreads come to place in 1984 starting from 10 grams and then with a steady ascent reaches over 100 grams per person per week witch it has already passed the other fat sources.

as the final analysis we can conclude that butter is more used in the start of the given period, margarine in the mid section, and finally the low and reduced fat spreads in the end of period.
