The diagrams below speak about the mechanism of a wave-energy machine and the differences between locations and the cost to set-up such machines.
The first chart explains in detail how the wave-energy machine intakes the waves and produces or generates the electricity. While the second one illustrates the differences that occur during the preference of location, as in, nearer to the shore or far away from the shore. It also speaks about the cost to be consumed in two different scenarios.
Illustrating the work mechanism of the machine, it consists of two chambers interconnected to each other. In the lower chamber, the wavy water enters in, pressurizing the air-flow. This pressurized air with considerable speed enters into the upper chamber, due to this air the turbines rotate and the air after rotation exits the chambers through the upper opening in the upper chamber. Hence in this way due to the rotation of turbines the electricity of generated.
The location preference is the major contributing factor to the amount of electricity generated. Two possible cases in the scenario is to build it nearer to the shore, which costs less money for the set-up of the machine. But, the amount of electricity produced is about less because small waves are found near the shore. Another case is to build the machine far from the shore, which costs higher than the previous case, on the contrary, the amount of electricity produced is also greater.
