The graph illustrates which activities Australian boys and girls aged 5 to 14 practice in percentage. Among these activities are 3 indoor activities watching TV, computer games and arts & craft and 2 outdoor activities skateboarding/rollerblading and cycling.
Watching television is by far the most popular activity among boys and girls as nearly 100% watch it.
The second most popular activity is computer games as 80% boys declare playing them while 3/5 of the girls choose this activity.
A major difference difference between boys and girls appears when it comes to the third activity : nearly half of the girls pick up arts and craft compared to roughly a third of the boys.
Overall as regards the outdoor activities, as seen from the chart, the boys favor them more as 60% of boys cycle and 40% of them practice either skateboard or rollerblade. Cycling is also popular with girls as 40% choose it but they are rather reluctant to practice skating activities with only a fifth of them practicing it.
