The bar chart illustrate the percentage of women going into higher education in the years 1970 and 2005 , in 5 countries , the UK , the usa , canada , japan , and germany. In general , the number of women receiving education was significantly higher in 2005 than in 1970 .
Changes are observed in all state except Canada, as canada has the highest rates of 60% in both years . By 2005 , the number of women in the uk had also risen up to 60% , more than in 20% . The lowest result are seen in japan , where the percentage increased from 20 to 40% . There was a slight growth in germany , from 50 to 55% . The number of american women entering higher education was 40% in 1970 , and 58% in 2005.
