ASPIRATION LETTER

My name is: ……………………………. - Date of birth: 22nd August 2003

I finished program of Grade 10 at Ngo Si Lien High School. Currently, I am accepted by Harold M. Brathwaite Secondary School belonging to Peel District School Board for admission term on September, 2019. Therefore, I am writing this letter to present my aspiration of study abroad in Canada.

Dear Consulate!

Now that I completed the 10th grade and will enter the 11th grade. On this time, my friends are enjoying their summer vacation, but I spend this time to learn about the study program at international environment and prepare visa application for my future path. Now, I am sixteen years old, I am a mature, dynamic and independent boy and I like exploring new things, so I am not afraid of living alone in a strange country far from my parents. I think I can take care of my life well. I have reason to believe that because I am the eldest son in my family, so I have always been independent from the early ages and always active in learning, look after my younger sister to assist my parents. Therefore, when my parents decide to send me to foreign for study, I am able to do all things in daily life by myself, they are less worried in part.

I dream of studying abroad when I was in secondary school. However, at that time, I found that I was unable to take care of myself, moreover, my ability of foreign language is limited, so I still kept that dream in my mind, and promised myself to try more every day. Until now, I realize this period is the most suitable for me to study abroad. Because, I think studying abroad soon will easily learn and experience myself in developed and civilized countries, help me turn my dreams into success real early by my own ability, will. In addition, studying abroad as a high school student helps me access to a unique and professional international training environment with the opportunity to achieve international qualifications, this is a good condition to prepare for entering international universities. For my goals I set, I will try my best to make that dream a reality. To be able to receive the acceptance from Harold M. Brathwaite Secondary School to have the chance to study in Canada, which owns a high standard education system with recognized quality all over the world, I have to afford to get a good achievement in Viet Nam. I prove this effort by my learning result of past school years as below

The international education environment will not give priority for international students from any country. Being aware of this, I have planned on learning my language so that I do not feel like a fish out of water. Currently, I am studying English at ILA English Language Center - a prestigious and quality English center in Rach Gia City to improve my communication, listening and speaking skills and also prepare my luggage for my study abroad path.

Besides actively participating in class hours, I often learn English through bilingual animated films in my free time. The main purpose is still to improve foreign language ability, in addition, it is also my hobby and passion. These films also attracts me by the techniques of using advanced 3D technology, colorful, beautiful images, elaborately shaped characters, and attractive storyline. My favorite cartoons are the Nut Job, Big Zero 6, The Adventures of Tintin, Toy Story, How to Train Your Dragon. I know the talented director of two my famous animated films, How to Train Your Dragon and How to Train Your Dragon 2, is Dean DeBlois, a Canadian film director, film producer, screenwriter, and animator. I really admire him. It can be said that he is the one who pushes my dream of becoming a great animator. I always expect for his new products. I dream that one day I will be able to create animated films that attract viewers like the above films. I also took the time to learn about how to make films in many countries, I know that Canada is a developed country in visual and creative art and remarked as one of the cradles of the film industry worldwide. Canada is home to some of the best animation schools in the world, this place will be an ideal place for me to follow and realize my dream.

Fortunately, I have been accepted into the Program of grade 11 at Harold M. Brathwaite Secondary School. This school is in the education system of The Peel District School Board. The Peel District School Board is comprised of Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon. It is the second largest school board in all of Canada. Specially, Peel District School Board is experts in ESL programming and help students reach high levels of achievement and develop a love long learning. The other reason that I am very impressed with that school that offers students a perfect environment to have a balance of their social and academic lives. Peel District School Board is located in one of Canada's most multicultural communities, so the school organizes parallel extracurricular activities alongside academic programs to help international students integrate, learn more about culture and develop language. The School is partner with University of Toronto Mississauga and Sheridan College, which is known as “The Harvard of Animation Colleges”.

As the letter of acceptance from school, I will study English program in parallel with the program of grade 11 from 3rd September, 2019 to June, 2020. I must study the English program because it is a compulsory requirement from the school for international students, to help me improve language ability to communicate confidently and more easily in acquiring knowledge. After two years, in June of 2021, I will graduate the high school, receive Ontario Secondary School Diploma and prepare for a turning point into College, University.

I will pursue my favorite major – Animation, so I will enroll a 4 - year Honours Bachelor of Animation. I believe that I can adapt and develop my abilities and skills to the highest extent with an advanced education of Canada. After 4 years I will be graduated and with no hesitation, I will return to my motherland to help building the community of animation makers. In the future, I will bring my cartoons attend international film prize and introduce them to international viewers.

I hope you consider my letter and facilitate me study abroad. I promise that I will respect my overseas study and learn and practice the best in Canada. I will not betray the merit of my parents and Your belief when You issue a visa for me to study in Canada.
