Essay topics:

The writer sends a questionnaire to the head of the household to know recreational needs in the community and decides to provide funding on the top voted preferences. The facilities are snowmobile trail, skeet shooting range, and a putting green. In spite of sending questionnaires the above statement is specious because it does not include the types of questions asked and the area where the town is located .

The author states that the above mentioned recreational facilities were top rated. This conclusion was made depending on just 40 percent of the votes. The writer should have considered more votes and made a better decision because, most of the above facilities are used in winter season and the choices were not good. The trails and range will not at all be used in other times of the season and will definitely be waste if they provide funding for these facilities. During winter hardly any people will go out to use these facilities. And 40 percent is not a big number.

The people of the Teeburg town decided on these facilities maybe because they had no other better facilities. To make a decision, they should have given the list of facilities which was added in the questionnaire and that time the letter would be considered. One more thing to be considered here is, the facilities which are mentioned here is not meant for elderly people because, elderly people might want to go on fishing, walking trails etc. Hence, for these reasons the above statement is fallacious and needs more accurate information to be considered.
