The provided column chart indicates the variation in the average prices of house in five various cities, New York, Madrid, Tokyo, Frankurt and London in two spans of periods, from 1990 to 1995 and from 1996 to 2002 compared with that in 1989. As presented, during 1990 to 1995, the majority of these five cities had their house prices lower than that in 1989, while all cities significantly witnessed an upward trend in values of house except Frankurt.
According to the chart, the average prices of house in Tokyo were lower than that in 1989 throughout the given periods. However, there was a growth in the house prices from 1996 to 2002 than previous period (-5% and about -7% correspondingly, which was compared to 1989). Meanwhile, although the household prices in New York decreased by 5% in the period from 1990 to 1995 beside 1989, afterward, between 1996 and 2002, it sharply upsurged by at least 10%. Interestingly, London is the city starting at the lowest position in percentage changes in house value (well-under -7% in comparision with 1989), it skyrocketed by approximately 19% to reach its peak in following period.
Remarkably, between 1990 and 1995, the average property prices rised by 2% and 3% in Marid and Frankurt consecutively, but that in the period from 1996-2002 went up by 2% compared to the previous period in Marid, whereas that in Frankurt experienced a slow descending trend (around 1%).
