The graph below shows the quantities of goods transported in the UK between 1974 and 2002 by four different modes of transport.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant

The given graph compares and illustrates the supply of appurtenances conveyed in UK in 1974 and after 28 years by road, water, rail and pipeline transportations.

Firstly, if we have a look at graph we can see the amount of pipeline is the smallest in 1994, and also the most minuscule in 2002, subsequently it is unbearable that a spontaneous and steady increasing has occurred, and also after 1994 it remains constant . Obviously, rail and water cover less than a third of the total amount in the first year. It is seen that they become the same in 1978, however, water goes up unexpectedly and pick up a high position in the end, whereas rail trebles and plunges in a fluctuated way. As a result, the capacity between them becomes less than a quarter. At a glance, it is unbearable that road is approximately 66 million tones ( a halve of total ), and consequently it becomes the highest in 2002 owning to rocketing dramatically.

Overall, it is sufficient that pipeline is the most minuscule, and there is a enormous diversity between road and pipeline. The others are neither the smallest, nor the biggest, the average is in the middle.
