The provided line graph depicts the number of people living on Earth while the bar chart illustrates the urban population figures.
Overall, it is notable in the line graph that the global population has gone up enormously since 1800. We can also see in the bar chart that the number of city dwellers living in developed areas is predicted to flat out, whereas the urban population figures in developing regions is forecasted to moderate increase over the recorded period.
Turning into data, the line graph shows us the world’s population has been around 1000 million in 1800 and it has grown slightly to 2000 million in 1940. Although the period between 1950 and 2040 is expected to continue to rise from 2000 million to nearly 8000 million and reaches the highest rate by 2050 with more than 8000 million, but it is also estimated to decline to 6200 million by 2100.
According the bar chart shows the number of city inhabitants in developed regions is expected to level off in 1300 million from 2015 to 2040. Meanwhile, the population growth in developing regions has minimally increased from 2100 million to 4000 million in the next 25 years.
In summary, the world population growth happens unevenly, it continues to rise until 2050 and would be decreasing after that.
