The bar chart illustrates the generation and usage of electricity by the top ten nations of the world in the year 2014.
Overall, both production and consumption was the highest in the country of China, followed by the United Sates, while least output and demand was seen in Korea. In the top ten, five countries are from Asia which is interesting, two from Europe, two north American and one belonging to South America.
Firstly, if we look at production, the China trumped it by a big margin at 5398 billion kWh. This was followed by USA at 4099 billion kWh. The least generation was recorded in Korea at 485.1 billion kWh. The Germany was an anomaly, where all states' production was more than consumption, the Germany shows opposite trend
Lastly, the usage of energy seems lower than production in all countries except one, as mentioned above. The most demand was in China at 5322 billion kWh, which dropped to 3866 billion kWh in USA. A very significant decline is observed after it, as Russia only consumes 1038 billion kWh. There is a steady downwards trend until Korea, which requires only 449.5 billion kWh electricity to function.
