Overall, Most people paid a visit to cinemas on weekends between 2003 and 2007. Additionally, the percentage of cinema attendants on Friday remained unchanged over these years.

In the first year, cinema goers on Saturday accounted for 40% of the total people going to cinemas. This figure constantly rose to its peak of 45 % in the following two years, which was the highest figure over the period researched, before falling to nearly 43% in 2007. The proportion of those on Sunday showed a similar pattern, with a slight rise ranging from 30% to nearly 33% at the same time. In contrast, the percentage of citizens paying a visit to cinemas on Friday stand at the same level of 30% during the whole time.

Tuesday and Wednesday saw the decreases in the figures of total cinema attendants to approximately 19% and about 10% in 2007 respectively. By contrast, the rates of those on Monday and Thursday went up to around 13% and a little below 15% at the final year.
