The chart and table give information about what nursing graduates did in the UK in 2009

The chart and table illustrate what and where the UK nurses did after graduation from their courses in the year 2009.
As can be seen that the majority of nursing graduates obtained a job in the health sector in which most of them became hospital nurses in the given year.
With regard to the pie chart, roughly eight-tenths of total graduates worked in the health sector, which was above ten-fold as high as the figure for those choosing to work and continue to study at the same time. In addition, nursing students going on their further education accounted for just 4% while unemployed graduates and those deciding to follow other career paths shared the same proportion at 2%.
When it comes to the table, the most striking feature is that out of graduates working in the healthcare system, most of them were nurses in hospitals at 72.9%, followed by 12.4% for Midwives and 10.3% for community nurses. Meanwhile, this year witnessed 1.3% and 0.4% of graduates becoming paramedics and psychiatric nurses, respectively while the percentage of those doing in other places generated by 2.7%.
