The particular bar chart given illustrates the amount of males and females through higher education in Britain during typical years (to be exact: 1970/71, 1980/81 and 1990/91) in terms of full-time and part-time education.

It is evident from the graph that, males who were in full-time education increased slightly after gradual decline in 1970/71 pointing about more than 800000 in 1980/81 and less than 850000 in 1990/91 respectively, whereas the females in this category enjoyed from exponential increment in its all time (more than 650000 in 1970/71 and less than 1200000 in 1990/91 respectively). However, both of them in category full-time education rised considerably.

Regarding the category full-time education it is readily apparent that men increased gradually from approximately 100000 to 120000 in the former years before reaching the highest amount among the other years over the females. Likewise, females revealed its high numbers being lower than males marginally in 1990/91 about 210000 respectively.

In summary, it can easily be deduced that females in part-time education took the precedence over the males whilst males showed its upward trend in the category full-time education.
