The chart below shows the number of travellers using three major airports in New York City between 1995 and 2000.

The bar chart demonstrates how many visitors used three main airports, recorded in millions of passengers a year, in New York City from 1995 to 2000. The airports include John F. Kennedy, LaGuardia and Newark.

It is obvious from the data that the majority of people chose to travel by LaGuardia airport over 6 years.

In 2000, the number of visits of Laguardia airport accounted for about 70 million persons and was more than that of the other airport by 30 millions or less. Newark airport has the least visits number at around 41 million passengers and the second was John F. Kennedy airport. A similar pattern was repeated in 1995 and 1996. The one difference is that the amount of travellers in each airport was less than at the end by 25 millions or more.

A notable feature is that the pattern of passenger number in 1998 and 1999 was the same. It is that the most popular airport was LaGuardia and followed by Newark and John F. Kennedy airport at around 50, 40 and 35 millions respectively. In 1997, this was only one year that John F. Kennedy airport was the top of passengers number at 45 million persons while LaGuardia airport became the second.
