The graph shows that the percentage rented house was on peaked just above 75% in 1918, with in a year, it had fall down almost 68% in 1939 and continue to stable until 1953 came, when again it shown downward trend for next 30 years gradually and reache just 30%. In next 20 years it started to recover it, the number of rented house show upward trend.
The ratio of people owned house was at his lowest point around 22% in 1918 and it increased for next years. between 1939 to 1953, the ratio was steady at 31% and then for next years the ownership of house had seen growth, in 2001, it had touched the highest point and then trend goes downward.
To sum this, Both trend are opposite to each other.
