The bar chart describes the time spent in the UK for different types of phone calls between 1995 and 2002.

In general, it can be seen from the chart that people used local fixed-line most in the UK, the national and international fixed-line and mobiles were becoming increasingly.

Among the three categories including local-fixed line, national and international-fixed line and mobile ( all calls), local phone calls accounted for the highest proportion during the period from 1995 to 2002, rising from about 72 billion minutes in 1995 to 90 billion minutes in 1995. However, after peaking in 1999, these calls had fallen back to 1995 in 2002.

On the other hand, national and international fixed-line calls rose regularly from around 38 billion minutes to approximately 61 billion minutes at the end of the period. However, the number of munites of telephone calls grown slowly over the last two years.

Besides, the most noticeable change was the trend of cellphones. There was a dramatic increase in this mobile calls from 2 billion minutes in 1995 to about 46 billion minutes in 2002. Especially, this rise was particular pay attention between 1999 and 2002, during this period the use of mobile phones tripled.
