The line graph illustrates the fluctuations in unemployment rate in rural and urban areas of areas of Australia in 2012. Overall, it is evident that the percentage reduced in rural areas while it increased in suburbs in given year.
To commence, at the beginning of first quarter of 2012 the number of jobless people was higher in countryside than city. Nevertheless as the year progressed, the rate in rural zone gradually reduced from above 6% at the start of year to less than 5% at the end of second quarter. On the contrary, the rate of unemployed individual rose by around 2% in developed region until the end of second quarter.
However, the rate reduced considerably in urban area to approximately 2% around the end of third quarter while, the numbers rose higher than 5% in rural zone. As the year ended, the figures in urban areas reached it's peak to around 5% and in countryside it reduced to 5%.
To conclude, the rate of unemployment reduced subsequently in rural area while a=in the fourth quarter the urban rate continued to surge.
