The pie chart reveals the average of yearly house hold expenditures of Canadian dwellers in two distinct years 1972 and 2002.

It is clear from the chart that maximum spending was done on food 39% and minimum spending was on computers, in 1972 .Moreover, In 2002, the highest spending percentage was of cars to 40% and least spending percentage was on books . Whereas, these percentages are quite opposite to each other in both the years . There was dramatic fall in food expenditure, and slightly less than double increase in use of cars in 2002.

Similarly , The change of percentage of expense on books and computer was noticeable .The expense percentage on computers in ,1972 was same as expense percentage on books in, 2002 to three percentge. Furthermore ,expenses on restaurants doubled to 14 ; and spending on petrol and furniture declined by one and two percentage which became same 9 percentage in 2002.

Charts illustrates the huge variations between these two decades, where people were more conscious about their basic needs after two decades they started spending money on other expenditures like cars restaurants and computers .
