The charts below show the main reasons for study among students of different age groups and the amount of support they received from employers

The bar charts illustrate data on why employees at different ages participate in education and the quantity of their employers’ support for this.
Overall, while the majority of staff under 40 years old studied for their career, most employees aged from 50 felt interested in this activity. Moreover, employers provided the biggest help for the youngest staff, but the least support for workers at their 30s.
To begin with, 80% of students aged younger than 26 (1) took part in study for their jobs as opposed to one tenth of them (1) for enthusiasm. Similarly, about 4 times as the people in the 26-29 age group studied for career as for interest; the figures were precisely 70% and around 15% respectively. Moreover, the number of workers aged over 49 going to school (2) for interest was much greater than that (2) for career; a difference of nearly 50%. In contrast, more employees in the 30-39 age group were motivated by career than by enthusiasm, with the participation rates of almost 60% and well under 30% respectively. The figures for both motivations were similar in the 40-49 age group, at exactly 40%.
Furthermore, employers paved the way for about 60% of students under the age of 26, but for nearly one third of staff at their 30s. A half of workers from 26 to 29 years of age received the help compared to more or less 40% of students aged from 40.
