The given charts present the information about volunteers by organizations (environmental, art, sports, health care, education, and others) in the 2 years 2008 and 2014.
In general, health care volunteers accounted for the smallest percentage. In addition, noticeable rises could be seen in the portion of volunteers for educational and sports organizations.
According to the charts, in 2008, 21% of the volunteers were for environmental organizations, three times as many as health care volunteers. 6 years later, in comparison to the small increase of 1% in the percentage of healthcare volunteers, that of the environmental organization experienced an 8% rise and accounted for the largest portion.
It can also be seen that the percentages of educational and art volunteers were 24% and 18% in 2008, and they dropped by 7% and 6% over the 6-year period, respectively. By contrast, although the proportion of sports volunteers and volunteers for other organizations were the same in 2008, at 15%, the figure for sports volunteers jumped to 25% and ranked second in 2014.
